What a lovely downspout...I'd never imagined what it would look like in winter as the snow melted! Great images of frozen water!
There is something magical about how ice transforms things. Many years ago my husband and I lived in Winterville, Georgia, just outside of Athens. We didn't get snow in winter, but occasionally we did get ice storms. And, while truly disruptive (branches falling on telephone and electrical wires, and things like that) they were utterly beautiful. Trees across the road looked like a glass forest. Everything turned crystal.
Really! What fun to watch the progression one way of the other.
