I'm imagining the sheer joy of eating that sandwich whilst admiring the beauty of the bloom.

Indeed, yum! Mullein. Shows up every once in a while never to return in the same place......do you have any suggestions on how to have it return?

Suz -- No ideas -- we have some that return in the same place. I don't know if it comes back from the roots or reseeds -- I suspect the latter. I think it's kinda a matter of not mowing or weed eating down the young seedlings.

Suz, harvest and then plant the seeds in late summer/early fall where you want it to grow. Be aware that it is a biennial, which means it will come up and NOT flower the first year, so you need to watch for those seedlings and protect them. The second year, that huge flower stalk shoots up, but then that plant dies. So you may find seedlings around last year's flowering plant, but you won't get more flowers there until the 2nd year.

Oh Vicki, that sandwich looks soooo good!

I've just run out of tomatoes, so a market visit is mandatory! xo
