Mid October

October is half gone . . .

Time to plant some pansies . . .

The saffron crocus is blooming . . .

The broiler chickens are growing apace . . .

And now that the garden is all but finished, the laying flock is free to roam.

I can only say that those b_____r chickens have a very good life right up to the last few seconds... would that all of us could say the same.

Those female cheekins sure must have a happy life with such a handsome rooster to come a courting.

Life on the farm is wonderful in all seasons. Lots of hard work but seeing the results are well worth it.
