Pocket Plunder

What would Sherlock Holmes make of this collection that I gathered from the little bowl into which my husband empties his pockets every night? (There was loose change there too but I confiscated that for a clearer picture.)

It's like looking into a woman's purse as a guide to who she is and what she does.

I had to ask him what some of the things were -- but I'll leave it to you all to guess. Suffice it to say, John is a very busy fella.

The pink curled up cable is like a mystery to me.

It looks like emptying pockets before doing the laundry is a good advice.

ha. actually, i know what every one of those things are....smiles.

Good for you, Brian -- being a guy is an advantage in this mystery.
This is what I mostly think of as guy stuff -- though I have used some of these things myself.

Yep, the gender gap is continuing, down to the pocket level! Thanks for reminding me of the different activities we engage in daily. I know most of that stuff, but haven't used it so often that I'd have left overs in my pockets. I usually forget the tissue in my pockets till I get to the washer. Your hubby is well trained (as a former wifely person would say) of course!

What? No pocket knife?

I was thinking the same thing as NCmountainwoman... where is the pocketknife. Many of those items could have come out of Jim's pockets. It is a guy thing.

Vicki, your husband's pockets' contents remind me of what I always loved about traditional neighborhood hardware stores. I don't see many of those around any more.

Thanks for the memories! xo

Oh, he always carries a knife. But it's one of those biggish ones that clips to the outside of a pocket.

This lot was the accumulation of several days -- what comes out of the pocket doesn't always go back in ...

Neat! Looks similar to the emptying of my DH's pockets whenever he had a week off at our home in Maine -- always something needin' fixin'… :-)

Boy, my kind of guy. DC wire and spade ends. Concrete nails, What's with the piece of chain link fence?
Ear Plugs? etc, etc. I got coffee cans full of left over stuff like that. Someday I might need them if I bother to look before I go to Home Depot.

Not a piece of chain link, Jim, but two wire pieces that are use to fix barbed wire to a metal post.

And the pink curled up cable was, I think he told me, jury-rigged to by-pass some broken switch on the lawn mower.
