I'm Off...

I
I'm leaving today for a week long writing workshop at Wildacres. It's a great gig -- I lead a workshop for half of each day and the rest of the time is mine to squander ... er ... write.  And someone else is doing the cooking (it's not as good as mine but it's amazingly good for a big kitchen serving a hundred plus hungry campers writers.)

Internet access is limited and iffy so I won't be posting or blog visiting till July 8 --
till then may the Force be with you!

What a lovely place to get the creative juices going. Seems I remember that view from the past. You would have a hard time prying me from one of those rockers.

Enjoy your week.

Oh Vicki, I do like the notion of a retreat. A retreat with beautiful open air views, some educational, mind-stretching hours, some mind-relaxing hours, and lots of good things to eat.

i bet those kitties will envy you.

It should be a great treat to brain storm, teach and rest too. No cooking is a good thing and the area looks beautiful.

Enjoy! I'm envious of those with whom you will be sharing your creativity, skill, and wisdom. One of my favorite aspects of retreat or vacation is that someone else does all the cooking -- none of those self-cater trips for me. ;-)

Enjoy, enjoy your week! I, too, love having someone else cook for a change, but even more do I love having someone else do the clean-up!

You are a prolific writer – I saw that since I stopped my blog you wrote 73 posts! But it is fun reading them and looking at all your lovely photos. I always enjoy reading the latest kittehs conversations. Your blog is also very instructif (that a French word for giving good info) as in all the Baptist Churches types – had no idea there were that many. The pictures of the young ones wearing formal black were good as well as those from the wedding celebration – I would have loved hearing the music.

Your retreat sounds like a wonderful place to relax, in a creative fashion. I felt kind of guilty for not having written in my blog for so long that I posted two – too lengthy posts – within a week. But I don’t have your ability for writing, so I think I’ll wait for a while before writing another one. You also have a beautiful garden. When we came back from our trip we saw that our fig tree (about 30 years old) had died. I saw that one branch had green leaves though, so maybe I should prune all the dead branches (big ones) – what do you think?

Did I say July 8? What a short week that would have been. I got back this morning (the 12th) and will put up a post tomorrow.
