Sunshine!

Late Thursday afternoon as the sun was sinking behind us, the clouds parted just enough to let a little light fall on the mountains across the river. After days of snow and mist and clouds, it was as good as a rainbow.

And then the moon rose . . .

We hadn't seen her in days. . .
Friday morning's sun sent its welcome rays into our frozen world

Lighting the hollers . . .
Gilding the trees . . .

And warming our world!

Lovely to have sunshine on the white and grey world we've been looking at this week...just as you've said, as good as a rainbow!

Such warm pictures!
The second one is like a painting.
So glad for you, it must feel so good morally.

Well, that was yesterday. And a welcome break it was. This morning we have snow and a winter weather advisory...

Same up here, Vicki, but yesterday's sun and relative warmth were downright encouraging.

Your mountain views surely do beat our current slush display.

The mountain, snow, moon, sun, and the image captured is most beautiful. Great photography.

I love the photos of the sun warming the trees and casting blue shadows onto the snow. What a cheerful story this series of pictures tells.

Beautiful transformation. I have not heard the word "hollers" use for years. Thanks for reminding of it.

We also have a beautiful sunshine today, and it is supposed to get to the 60s. Snow has almost disappeared. I am pleased that I rushed out to take some photos as we may not see snow again for years (but that’s what I said two weeks ago …) I did place my pictures on a post yesterday afternoon but am having problems with Google again, as till now it has not updated my post. I really don’t know why this happens to me so often, but eventually the post will come up I guess.

Beautiful, and I'm glad to be back enjoying the snow, even if it is melting!
