Enchanting images, Vicki!
Look Homewards, Angel, now there's a real home, not only my imagination.

I presume it was all remodeled. Such a beautiful light on the day you took the pictures.

Never been there, hiding my head in shame, what kind of new North Carolinian am I?

Time to reread Look Homeward, Angel--it's been years, and I think my added years will help me appreciate even more. On the house, I think it has been kept up more than remodeled, but I'm not sure about that. I should get up there and check it out. Lovely post, Vicki!

Great photos…LOVE how they made a design in the shingles. Very cool…and cool that you noticed it!

You got great pictures! The house is charming, too bad class isn't inside it, imagine all the creativity flowing through those walls.

Wow, it was a beautiful sky! I didn't even notice, I was so focused on trying to extract myself from the parking pickle I got myself into when I arrived. I pulled into the lot and then parents pulled in behind me...I couldn't go forward, or backward. Thank goodness for the two good Samaritans who stopped traffic and guided me as I angled around and backed out, otherwise I might be there still!

The house is preserved and restored -- there was a fire a few years back that did a good bit of damage.

My writing classes are meeting in the auditorium of the house's visitor center.
