Aha! (More Sympathetic Magic)

Well, here's part of the problem . . .my little astrolabe ( a Christmas gift) was set on late December. No wonder The Weather was stuck.

I have adjusted the setting to mid-February -- fighting off the temptation to set it to April . . . that would be wrong.

And I've continued on with bringing out the Spring stuff for the corner cupboard -- eggs and flowers -- even a lamb.

Replaced the ice blue dish detergent with spring green . . .
I think it's beginning to work! Look at that snow melting!

The only pink tulips at the grocery store were Valentine Day leftovers and they were sad looking . . . but I found a tiny pink rose to brighten the windowsill.

Thinking positively . . . of Spring.

I love your ways to fight the spell!
I think I'll try to do the same not against the snow but against the rain... what do you suggest? :-)
Should I start by hiding the umbrellas, hang out the washing?

Yes, why not! Anything to spread out the welcome mat for spring. You must be very ready for it, and I'm sure it's not far away. The astrolabe is fascinating; I've never seen one. Do tell us how it works.

The forecast looks promising ... let's hope it continues on and the snow/cold is behind us.

Therese -- perhaps a picnic basket and a pair of sunglasses by the door?

Juliet -- the astrolabe is a copy of a medieval astronomical/astrological tool. Wikipedia can tell you far better than I how it works.

It's working! The sun is out here! We had rain instead of snow late yesterday!! YAY!

I think it's working! THANKS

Vicki, this morning's snowfall has just stopped. No serious accumulation.

Now we need to see some serious melting. Where is the sun?

Things I'm grateful for: warm sunshine through windows; snow that actually was beautiful for a day; small amounts of slush and not too many ugly brown piles of plowed snow; dry feet when walking outside most of the time.

Not making any claims but we awoke Thursday morning to rain and thunder and had quite moderate temperatures all day. . .
