These are beautiful Vicki! And tonight as I listen to an owl, not hooting, but screeching, I'm wishing I were Vicki with night vision camera!'Worried it is a juvenile, not having learned to hunt, hoping for a handout - but not a small black and white cat!
Vicki, it seems there are more butterflies this year than the past few years here in Yancey. Would you agree? Katy Gilmore, could it have been a screech owl? They screech a lot this time of year. It's one of the ways I know it's coming on August. Deana the queena
Two things, no, make that three, Rick. Almost forty years of adding to the landscaping of what was already a really beautiful piece of land ( I planted those butterfly bushes,) a good camera, and always taking said camera with me, I took these pictures on the way up our driveway after a trip to town.

Gorgeous butterfly captures! I'm jealous, I haven't been able to use my regular camera for a while. I'm ready to get back to practicing!
Sublime!
it is obviously where all the pretty people go....
Butterfly bushes are one of my favorite garden shrubs and you've captured it, long with the butterfly, beautifully.

I hope you get a chance soon, Ms. A and I hope things are going better with Michael.
Deana -- I'm not sure -- we always have lots of butterflies. It's the number of humming birds that I've noticed an increase in. Also weeds.
How do you do it, Vicki??? You capture some stunning scenes!
