From My Window

Yesterday it snowed almost all day. The sun cane out briefly and much of the snow melted but by nightfall it was still snowing.

I saw this turkey from an upstairs window... I think he was looking for spring...

So am I.

He might be looking for Easter eggs. Is this normal? or are wedding weather jitters setting in? hope not.

I've looked for spring over here Vicki. I think she landed lightly and took off again.

I have friends who will have turkey for Easter...tell your friend to beware! What is in the little jar on your window?

At least it's stopped snowing this morning. As for the wedding, we're all pretty laid back and of the opinion that things will work out, weather or not.

Barb, it's a collection of little odds and ends - driftwood, a piece of broken pottery -- stuff that was sitting around and I corralled into the bottle.

We had the same system come through here over the weekend. Snowed for two days, but fortunately most of it didn't stick here. Over towards the north part of the state they got 10-12 inches.

I'm ready for Spring too!

Me too Vicki but I did see the grass appear again today and it is green so that's a start!

O Vicki, me too. Desperately.

Vicki, did Willa see that turkey from the same window as you? Is that turkey a neighbor?

How is it that North Carolina has accumulated so much more snow this past season than we did up here in New York.

Strange jet flow paths....

Happy Easter! xo

I think spring will be here shortly. This is not the first time – I distinctly remember one April 1st when it snowed. I was driving to work and hit the sidewalk – by the time I arrived at work the tire was flat. I remember it well because I thought it was a nasty April’s Fool joke, but it was no joke – must have been in the late 1980s because I was driving my Fuego Renault then. Be patient….

I'm happy to report that the sun came out this afternoon and much of the snow has melted. It's still quite chilly but we can deal with that!

I love your photos of the turkey - veryZen. It must feel like such a long wait, but spring will come!
