I looked at all your past posts- I like your talking animals – your cat is very philosophical. By the way when I was researching something or other I came upon the term “American Exceptionalism.” Do you know who said it first? It was Stalin of the USSR in 1929 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_exceptionalism) so it makes me laugh when all the Conservatives use the term. Another thing I found out, on an American expat blog, a lawyer, is how difficult it is to leave America as in “love it or leave it.” It is quite expensive. Let me find the blog - he said that the IRS don’t let you go free, you have to file all kinds of papers – so if people say “if you don’t like it here, go somewhere else” that is silly. Plus why should anyone leave because they have a different opinion? That is what has made this country great – all the different people coming here. I think I found this guy’s blog – it’s called An American Expat. I don’t follow it or even comment on it- go down that page and it explains about the IRS requirements when you leave the USA - http://kvsmith.com/?p=1031 Now that I looked at his blog I remember it was a post I read while writing my post about French bashing – his is called “Friendly Parisians ……” surprise! http://kvsmith.com/?p=89 .

These are potimarron winter squash (seeds courtesy Elora from JUST OFF THE ONE LANE ROAD) and yes, they are thankful for the rain we've had.
