The misty mornings we've been having have made it difficult to catch a real sunrise -- the above was the best I could manage yesterday and it was well above the mountains before it peeked out from the clouds for a brief moment.
And last night was a Blue Moon -- the second Full Moon in the month and not blue at all -- rather pink, in fact, reflecting her brother's glory.
OOPS! Kath is right. It's tonight's moon that is the Blue Moon -- I got ahead of myself!

Nice shots!
I worked and worked, all different ways, to capture a shot of the moon. Dang skeeters tore me up!
Glorious sights!
"Brother Sun, Sister Moon" always reminds me ofthis scene in the Zeffirelli movie of the same name, olives groves and poppies flowering in the Umbrian countryside.
Lovely. We've been lucky with our sunrises of late. But now I've said that, we'll be waking to cloud cover. You can bet on it.
Nice shots Vicki. Most of our mornings are shrouded in clouds and we miss some of the good stuff.

Lovely pictures! Have a grand holiday weekend! Cathy
Thanks for the photos. I thought it was tonight. Rats.
Kath -- you may be right -- I'll have to check.
Technically not ahead of yourself. In our timezone, the exact time of full moon is 9:58 am. So early this morning and early tonight was/will be the fullest we see this blue moon.
It was a beautiful moon
and the weather here was pretty nice last night
Nice, whether it is blue or not. I am happy to report we won't be seeing a moon, no matter what color, tonight. Isaac is finally bringing us some much needed, too late but we'll take it, rain!
Yes tonight is full moon and a blue moon too. Wonderful luck! Any wishes made tonight are bound to come true. I hope you get to see it well tonight Vicki.
Wonderful photos...the full moon woke me at 4am glowing through the windows; she was still up and bright when we walked at 5am ... huge and gorgeous, she was!
