Would that be kale gone to seed in the last shot? I have a huge section of my garden with those same blooms, which I am offering up to the bees before I cut them back...

Larry -- that's no fading tulip but a just opened lily that the slugs worked on when it was but a bud.
Mel -- those are collard blossoms -- a very close relative of kale. I love the way the developing seed pods look like candelabras.
