First Day of Spring

The vernal equinox! The sun has returned to the center of the eastern horizon . . .

The willow is erupting in fountains of greeny-yellow . . .

Willa is harassing chipmunks and reveling in her freedom  . . .
her tail wags constantly . . .

A pretty little woodpecker -Downy or Spotted, I'm not sure -- is visiting . . .

The cows have been turned into the mountain pasture to enjoy fresh new grass . . .
And the forsythia, oh, the forsythia! A celebration of yellow!

Is it me, or has Spring crept up on us and suddenly said, 'boo!'

i am currently travelling in Austria (with two of your books in my new Kindle!) and heard a woodpecker in some still bare trees - but couldn't see it.

Although it seems more like summer then spring over here, I'm enjoying the vibrant colors and gentle breezes of springtime.

I've heard that it will stay summer like, mostly skipping over spring, and it will be referred to as our endless summer this year. I'm almost afraid to think that if temperatures are in the upper 70's/low 80's now what the actual summer will be like!

Indeed a celebration. Love everything. But I'm a sucker for Will and the willow! With the beautiful cows a close second, and the mountains, well just AHHHH

I'm loving this dance of the seasons around the earth. We've shared a few seasonal changes now through blogging, as the earth tips this way and that in a most reliable and astonishing manner. Your will is shining with spring energy Vicki. By the way I'm having trouble gettibg to read your books. Friends keep pouncing on them and they do the rounds. WE all enjoy them so much.
