Obsessed . . .

On Tuesday I read The Hunger Games . . .  yesterday I read the second in the trilogy -- Catching Fire.

I am hooked -- possibly obsessed. This is some amazing story telling. And this is why I've not come blog visiting -- well, this and the class I had to meet Wednesday night.

First Downton Abbey -- now  The Hunger Games.  Is it possible that I have an addictive personality?

I'll give a full report after I've read the third book... but now I have to get back to the story.

Aren't we all, I mean your blog followers, a little on the addictive personality side when it comes to reading? I am.

If I took the time to read books, I'd never make it to blog reading and I'd get so far behind, I'd freak. I guess that, in itself, makes me a freak.

I've read good reviews for the Suzanne Collins books. They've been on my list for a while, but who knows when I'll find the time for them? I'm such a slow reader.

Sounds like a great read and reminds me of my own addiction right now for the Orwell's kind of books written by J.F. Rufin.

When I heard about parts of the movie being filmed in the Asheville area, I looked went to Amazon to read about the books and was immediately hooked. Yes, I read them all in record time and really thought they were some of the best books I'd read.

I finished CATCHING FIRE in the wee hours of the morning -- on to MOCKINGJAY! Boy, I'm glad I didn't begin this series when the first book came out -- having to wait a year between books would be painful.

Fortunately, I'm a very fast reader...

I've heard about the Rufin books, Therese -- will have a look.

You know in Downton when Matthew got into the fight with Mary's fiance and they were rolling on the furniture throwing each other around, I was going Come On, he had a spinal cord injury!

Oh that is exactly what happened to me. I read all three and couldn't put them down. Movie coming out next month. Looking forward to reading your review.

Helen -- yeah, but this IS a soap opera -- just with better sets and clothes. The evil twin may yet appear... not to mention the long-lost heir...and, dare I say it, vampires or zombies. I still love it.

Enjoy! I had the same response, read them in a weekend marathon. Be warned - there is a bit of withdrawal when you run out of books!

I agree with Mel. When you're done reading them all you're kind of let down and it took me a while before I could get into another book.

I'll be interested in reading your comments when you've finished them. I haven't read them, nor intended to, but maybe if you whet my appetite somewhat, I just might indulge...?

Never heard of it or them.
But I've just finished 'The Help' almost in one sitting.
Fantastic!

"The Hunger Games" is a great series. I'd wanted to read it for some time and got all three books for Christmas. I can't wait to see the movie based on the first book.

Dang, you really are a fast reader. I loved that series. Was a bit upset the way it ended, but a writer definitely can't please all the readers out there. Can't wait to see the movie.

And Downton Abbey is on my Netflix Instant list. Well, the first season is anyway. I reckon I really need to get that watched as the second season is on the PBS site for a limited time, and I'd really like to catch up with the show since I've heard so much about it.
