Summer Solstice

Another turn of the wheel.

Summer begins and the sunrises have gone as far north as they can. Tomorrow's sun will be just a hair to the south, heading for the Fall Equinox when it take center stage in our eastern view. . .

. . . continuing northwards toward December 21 and the Winter Solstice --when the Great Dance begins anew.

It has been feeling like summer for a while here, already. Thank goodness for AC.

I love spring so much. Summer is great, but I don't look forward to the heat. It's hard to believe, but the days are going to get shorter.

Beautiful photos! Love the new banner picture. We've been in hot and humid here for a while. Hard to believe it's only the first day of summer....

Great photographs. Here's hoping our hot weather will leave and give us normal temperatures again.

Beautiful pictures for this special day!
There were 18,000 worshippers at Stonehenge this morning.
May you always have plenty of acorns in your pocket Vicki.
Blessings, Star

Your photos have the most beautiful, soft, colors. I don't think I can get that here in the desert mountains. It's too sharp here most of the time. Today is my birthday and, being Swedish, midnight sun, and all that, I just love this day. Now I have to live through about 120 days of heat before it starts to get better around here.

I am glad that days and nights can have their own dance to which we don't have any say...

I often think that those of us who live in the Temperate Zones are the most fortunate of all. With the changes of the seasons, we never get bored with just one kind of weather.
