Saturated Rainbow

Just playing with the Special Effects in Picasa.  Above is a picture where I've gone full tilt saturation -- it doesn't look realistic at all but it was the only way I could get the second rainbow to be visible.

The picture below is unretouched.

Over on my monthly newsletter blog,  I'm talking about some of the books I've been reqading recently-- an extremely eclectic mix.

A double rainbow, Vicki! Does that mean, two pots of gold?

I love finding double rainbows! I wish it would rain here so I could spot a rainbow too.

Double lucky you! It is amazing what one can do with photo enhancing software.

Will check those books out soon. Am looking for some to borrow from the library for my Nook. It is always interesting to see what has been converted to e-books and what has not.

Have a wonderful day!

A double rainbow must mean lots of good luck. Beautiful header shot too. You live in such a lovely part of the country, Vicki.

Beautiful photography and editing. You don't see double rainbows often so this is a great catch!

Since our porch faces due east and we often have brief late afternoon showers, followed by sun, we do get lots of rainbows -- such a joy!

I've never been able to figure out why the photographer's ability to "PhotoShop" an image (which has even because a verbal disparagement nowadays), makes some feel they are cheating! Wait, people...this is art! Not a recording, not a science experiment! Half the fun of capturing an image is the adventure of post production! When the digital image is waiting there un-retouched, it's just asking to have the photographer return and reconsider. Post production is when the fun really begins. The photographer is not responsible to anyone or anything other than seeking and finding the image that excites. And finally: don't explain and don't apologize!
