On a Hot Day

Get up early while  the mist is rising from the river
and the air is cool and fresh . . .
Watch the dawn nudge the world awake. . .

Have fun watering . . .
Remember when you were little and playing in the sprinkler was high delight. . .

Make patterns with the sun and spray. . . have fun . . .
Get wet.

Really neat water pictures Vicki.

Hoping for a cool down ... this hot is getting old, especially when it comes in late May/early June.

get wet has been our mantra the last couple days...it has been so hot...neat captures of the water and the sun coming through it...

Beautiful pictures! I was too late getting up this morning to get out before the heat. (Okay, maybe that's too lazy, instead of too late.)

Perfect advice...we should all remember to do these things often throughout our lives :)

Oh, lovely, lovely, Vicki! You are so right: get out early. I was out in the garden this morning while we were still locked into the fog. And it was funny: the water in the air was condensing on my hair! It was covered with dew that formed on it from the time I left the house and had dug one row of holes for potatoes.

Lovely photos - early mornings on hot days are so special. My neighbour (bless him) cleaned my car tonight... just because he loves playing with his high-pressure washer!

If it's impossible "to be a kid again playing under the water hose",at least, we can enjoy your amazing pictures!

I love your pictures. We had the perfect day today, blue skies and cool air. Tomorrow is supposed to be 91 degrees and humid.
