Summer is Just a Click Away . . .

If the cold weather begins to seem oppressive and you find yourself longing for summer, remember that it's just a click away. Maria Cecilia's blog "Casa Dulce Hogar" is full of roses from her home in Chile -- a surfeit of bloom so complete that I can almost smell them.

HA ... when I read your title I thought you meant because we're suppose to go up to 60 tomorrow after our recent cold spell! What was I thinking!?!?!

Beautiful pictures!

Martin -- I really felt the same way -- that rich, woozy-making smell of a sun-warmed rose.

Rusen -- It's such fun to travel this way - one click to Chile, another click -- Turkey!

Pat, yeah, it's almost balmy -- but raining pretty hard.

I went to look at Casa Dulce Hogar and could not believe how many beautiful roses were posted – a delight to the eyes. I cannot read Spanish but guessed on some of the things written. She does have some rare “old fashioned” roses like Pierre de Ronsard. She also displays her roses in very attractive containers. How I would like to visit this garden. Thank you mentioning it, it does bring the sun to my day.

I went back and realized that she translates her posts, so I placed a comment. Thanks again Vicki for mentioning this blog, what a profusion of beautiful flowers.

It's a refreshment to the soul during these gray days to sink into Maria Cecelia's beautiful pictures.

Summer seemed rather far away today, dear Vicki! For though the sun was shining, a cold penetrating wind was blowing. Fortunately my house was warm when I returned from church with a friend. A cup of hot coffee did us a world of good.Well your flowers are very beautiful for sure.

Vicki, I´m so glad my roses warm your cold and rainy days... I was thinking this would be my last post of my roses, but after seeing your post and knowing that for many summer can be one click away and that just one click would warm the days of other continents, why not cutting more of my roses and doing some new arrangements in different containers I have and with some roses I haven´t use so far?? yes... why not??? Plus, yesterday I went to my favorite flea market and bought beautifuel new containers.... thank you so much for the idea.
Muchos cariños
Maria Cecilia

Ah, Miss Yves, a fundamental difference indeed!

Wouldn't you love to see that garden in person, Kaye? I know I would!

Hey, Sam, Instant relief for the wintertime blues!
