Still Reading . . .
Sunday, and I'm still reading the page proofs . . . and still really pleased with how good it sounds to me.
More of the same -- cold outside, the dogs and cats and I clustered round the fireplace inside.
William and Miss Susie Hutchins . . .
. . . Ali Ali, Maggie, and Jack relaxing . . . they're really good at it . . .
Molly keeping an eye on things . . . and Ali Ali and Otis being snug -- another perfect December day.

So glad to hear that it's all still reading well. That must be very heartening.
Your photographs convey a very cosy scene. lends a whole new meaning to 'it's a dog's life'!
My goodness, just how many dogs have you got Vicki? They all look so happy and snug in your room, just how it should be in December. Good luck with the proof reading, it must be really hard to do!
Blessings, Star
What a tease ... what a tease, you still proof reading your book. I can hardly wait, hardly wait!!!
All of your pups sure look comfy, and I had to laugh at the heads coming out of the quilt! I don't remember Jack, but he sure is one handsome dude.
Ahwwwww so sweet!
Martin, we've often commented that a dog's life at our place is not unlike dog heaven.
Star, we have five -- my son's two dogs were also here. (I know, kinda ridiculous.) And the difficulty with proof reading is trying to see each and every word rather than skim -- I've found a few typos and more than a few places where I've repeated the same word in a sentence.
Jack and Dan are our two Border Collies, Pat. The two in the quilt are Otis, the Pitbull and Ali Ali, the boxer mix. They belong to Claui and Justin.
They ARE sweet, Carol!
Reading the page proofs sounds so thrilling to me.
Looks like everyone is snug as bugs in a rug!
Vicki,
Oh My, This is a big familly you have !
Now this looks like my kinda day at home! Perfect!!
We've alwasys thought that cat Heaven was at our house. Now I know where dog heaven is and it seems that cat Heaven has at least a couple of locations. Proofing is such hard work--so easy to miss one little error. May you find them all, each and every one, while enjoying your book with fresh eyes.

It is kinda thrilling, Willow, as it begins to seem more like a book.
Some would say too big, Helene.
Right cozy indeed, Kaye!
Miss Susie Hutchins says that no way is this Cat Heaven till we get rid of the dogs . . . and that vulgar large cat, Eddie.
Eddie, on the other hand, likes it all just fine.
I'm in the final third of the book now where the most errors lurk -- a lot of last minute hurried additions. Reading slow and carefully.
Hi Vicki... having a wonderful time?? it looks so cozy to me.
cariños

Your blog has been my bedtime reading today, so many post to read and what a treat they all are!
I shall fall asleep thinking of your ... what, seven? ... dogs and two cats, all cozied up by the fire place. What a wonderful warm home you have!
Lucky dogs – they look quite contented. Your sofa, pillows, etc., give such a vision of home, sweet home. Reading your finished work in this surrounding must be so very satisfying.
Cozy, indeed! And I'm not worrying about the dog and cat hair and the paw marks on the sofa for in another day or two I'll be finished with my proof reading and ready for a glorious cleanup before bringing out the Christmas stuff. Sunday's the day the tree goes up!
Vicki, I wish everyone would treat animals the way you do! Glad the proof reading is going well.
Badly spoiled critters, all of them!
What a lovely and cosy post! Your house looks very comfortable!
