Those green berries, Jenny, turn a deep purple when ripe. They're called pokeberries (Phytolacca americana). It's a bad idea to have them growing in your garden if you have very young children around -- these berries are toxic to humans. They're beautiful, though, and birds seem to love them.

I don't think I recognise any of those as being ones we have here. I like the pink stems with green berries - counter-intuitive.
