Almost Sunrise

So many misty mornings -- but, on Saturday, at last there was a chance of some sunrise pictures.

We are nearing the equinox so the sun is almost smack in the middle of our eastern horizon . . .

Shivering in my nightgown, I stood on the front porch, waiting for the big moment.  Almost showing...almost showing....

But dark clouds masked the moment the sun peeked over the Blue Ridge so here is a cat.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

That's a dirty, rotten trick, but at least the cat is cute. Still, I was all primed and ready for that sunrise.

The third photo looks like a painting. Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Nice clouds and colors, which they give to sunrises. Today, no color here at all, so I enjoyed your beauty, and of course the kitteh!

Lovely clouds. Postcard beautiful. Too bad the rains followed. Our son ran a cold and rainy Biltmore Marathon yesterday. Twenty-six miles of misery.

Did a story ever end with a better line?

Well, a cat is always good! And, so cute. The sunrise photos are beautiful, especially the third one with the rays peeking through. Happy St. Patricks and Saint Gertrude of Nivelles Day!

There is something quite magical about that very moment the sun crests in the distance. I enjoy watching the sun rise when I'm at the river house. Here at our cabin, the sun doesn't rise over the mountains until long after actual sunrise, so the sky is already blue. Still a lovely moment to see it crest, but not quite the same. Very nice pictures!

Even with the clouds blocking the big reveal those are lovely photos. We are missing the mountains, so thanks for bringing them to us. And the cat is cute too!
