I heard that turkeys are taking over parts of NYC. They are planning on a cull. Sad. -- barbara

Hi Vicki! I always enjoy seeing your photos of the place where you live!
This week iI read in my newspaper an article about the "snake handling " preachers, who are not allowed to keep snakes anymore. And that several of them had died from snakebites. That reminded me of the story of the attractive preacher in one of your books who also handled snakes and forced his followers todo the same.

A nice fire in the fireplace to chase away the rainy day... and keep the kittehs cozy!

So is one of those turkeys going to be The Beast of Honor on Thurs?

I miss my rainy mountains right now, looking forward to getting back. That is a lot of turkeys!!! As B Rogers asks, are one of them going to be plucked and stuffed? They sure do look good enough to eat:)

The wild turkeys are safe -- from us anyway. Out Thanksgiving turkeys came from the store... we'll be smoking two 12 pounders.

Those are beautiful shots of your world. The kitties are turning into cats, beautiful grownup cats.

Meows, red berries, pitty pat of rain drops, turkeys gobbling and cloudy misty mountain tops. what a wonderful Western Carolina holiday season. You paint so well with your camera and your words Vicki

What books is your kitteh reading?
Love how you captured a rainy day!

Next to last photo: Fire, books, cat. Perfect. And not necessarily in that order.
Your arbor and the kitteh picture following it strike me as Japanese-inspired. Lovely.

Vicki, your rainy days make a perfect (purr-fect) setting for your kitties and even those turkeys look rather photogenic. So, so cold here today ... below freezing... that taking a camera out for a few pics would have tempted frosty fingers before any camera button clicking would have been possible.

I think that it's your eye that finds images that others might pass by. Thank you for not passing by.

(Also, forgot to mention in a prior comment that I am a Leonard Cohen fan...going way, way back there.)
