You all must be busy with Willa these days! It must remind us, readers, of a lot of such experiences: our two black labs were no exception till they turned 1! That's how I turned into a "handylady" in no time: repairing sprinkler systems, seats, carpets... ;-) Hope you don't get to much damage.
She is very smart and very sneaky and can reach thing we thought she couldn't. But we've dealt with puppies before and tell ourselves this too shall pass.
Uh-Oh! Willa is having some separation anxiety! Our last puppy before this one ate an armchair in about an hour, down to the wood in the arms. We came home to about a foot of stuffing on the floor, and that's when we bought a crate until she got over her issues. Hope you didn't lose anything of great value! Good luck with the doggy training.
Oh dear...that first puppy year can be a challenge! Even though we bought about twenty special chew toys for our pup, he seemed to prefer our children's toys for his gnawing pleasure. :-)
We do have a crate for her when we have to leave her -- or fold the laundry or any of the other things she likes to help with. And we have the chew toys and rawhide chewies in abundance -- her favorite is pig ears. But any unattended bit of clothing is in danger, as are books, magazine, rolls of masking tape, shoes, pillows . . . Our house looks like we have a two year old -- lots of stuff put up high and the floor strewn with toys.
Looking at those pictures, no words are needed. :)
I pet sit a dog that's like that. She even destroyed the cover to their hot tub. She's a Chessie and the vet said the Lab breeds are like that, they chew like crazy. They get bored I reckon. Here's hoping Willa grows out of it. (But of course, who can stay mad at that cute little face?)
This made me smile, because I've posted my own versions of almost every one of those images in the last year. I thought my Levi was going to eat this house from the inside out. I'm so glad we lived through that chewing phase and glad you already know you and Willa will get through it, too. Challenging, though, don't you think?
Oh my...I'm laughing here. This is such a familiar sight here at my house right now. I don't know about you, but it'd been a few years since I had puppies around, and I had totally forgotten just how...busy they could be. Of course my pup's mother is called Ashley the Shredder so I'm not sure if this phase is going to last a lifetime or what. ;-) Willa looks pretty happy though! Tammy
LOL!!!! What a hilarious Wordless Wednesday post. If I make it to Accent on Books Friday and find you wearing a sweater with holes in it, carrying a chewed up pen, signing some gnawed books - I'll know why! :) My sweet southern aunt would say "Bless your heart!"

Oops, I see some teachable moments up there. Good luck. Hope it wasn't anything too important.
Thank goodness for hard drives. Imagine if that had been the notes for your next novel.

She's such a cutie! Looks like she's been a little busy too!
Oh dear. The teeth of a puppy can have a terrible destructive force!

She's still a sweetie.

Uh Oh! How can you be mad at her with those eyes?!
Did Willa get your attention yet? She seems to be trying mighty hard!
Oh my....someone is mighty busy. Or is it busily mighty??
Oh, Miss Willa! Do I have a pal for you! A year old Golden Retriever named Noelle - who now probably thinks her name is NO NO Noelle!
We adore her.
