I'm in love with your blue bench! We had some bleak and cold days with rain this week as well. The promise was fulfilled today with beautiful blue skies.
As Victoria pointed out, the promise is in the buds.
I've been busy all day, dealing with Willa the Wild Woman, putting together handouts for the Mystery 101 class I'm teaching at a NC wrters conference tomorrow, going to a party for the authors of the collaborative novel ( of which, more later) I participated in, and now I'm holed up in a hotel where the conference is, fighting sleep. I wanted to come blog visiting and catch up with you all but I'm afraid it will have to wait till Sunday. But at least this is the end of my running around for a while.
Amazing photography skills you have got there.when I saw these pics I felt so relaxed.I'm following you now! would be nice if you can follow my blog as well or just come by and take a look sometime. take care!

Looks a bit damp and chilly.
Still mild in this neck of the woods. It won't last.
Looks very autumnal when it's a season of new growth here. Lovely photos.
Sorry, Vicki, you never get to call any photograph you share with us bleak. Everything has beauty through your eyes!
There is beauty everywhere isn't there? You have the proof!!! Wishing you well! Cathy
Your pictures capture a sense of melancholy and yet they are very lovely. Hope you get sunshine back soon.
you had the same weather as us yesterday...cold and damp
It seems as if a good jacket is needed...
Dreary, damp, grey November...we must be in Paris!

Thanks for reminding me of the promise. These wintry days will be with us for a while now. I'm so grateful for warm critters and blankets!
There is beauty in every season.

Bleak? No. Beautiful? Yes! Those buds do hold a promise, though. It's wonderful to think of the life held in such tiny things...
