Garden Weirdness

Back to scorching weather and still no rain. I was in the garden early, virtuously watering and doing a little maintenance, and my virtue was rewarded with the sight of some rather unusual vegetables.

I don't know the varietal name of these giant plum tomatoes but Witch's Tits would seem appropriate. The green evil witches of Oz and Halloween  -- not you good witches out there.

I decided to dig in our small bed of sweet potatoes to see what I could uncover for dinner.

I seem to have interrupted these two in the middle of something ...

Cheeky!

I love your 'witches' tits' and as for the sweet potatoes . . .

Perhaps everybody is getting in a last little bit of procreation before the barren time sets in?

Put those tubers back in the ground, quick!
Maybe you'll get lots of little sweet potato plants with no effort on your part!
:-P

That's why they're called "sweet" potatoes...

I love seeing the oddities of nature! I've seen strange things come out of my garden too. Wish I had thought to take photos! Next time I will. Have a safe and fun Labor Day weekend!

Hey - looks like some bizarre things might be going on between your veggies - cover them up quick! :)

First time I've ever seen you post a "risque" blog entry, I think. Naughty vegetables!

Risque? Moi? I like to think of it as 'earthy.'

Bet you could sell any of them on eBay! We got 3.5 inches of rain last night. Hope it dropped some on your garden.

No rain last night but we've just had a nice shower. Spirits lifting...

These veggie photos are a riot, but even better are your comments, Vicki!

This is hysterical. Had to keep backtracking (was only going to catch up on a couple of days posts) after reading the comment about "weird vegetables" someone left. Glad I did, this is too funny!
