Green Glory

Green, green, glitter-green...
Shining tapestry of Spring...
Myriad hues of green.

Turkeys wade through green
Weeds wing-high; vines embrace trees...
Trees explode in green.

Creeping tide of green,
Burgeoning inundation
I may drown in green.

The first green is so delicate and this creates the expectation of. something wonderful that's going to happen. I think that spring is the most beautiful of all seasons. You showed that in your poem,Vicki!

I cannot find the slideshow on your other blog, Vicki?

Believe it or not, I was standing with my first cup of tea by the window, marveling about all that glorious may green out there! The one thing I do not have to do is mow the lawn, but I remember how fresh cut grass smells when it flies against your legs. I hope you did get to sit down with a tall glass of iced mint tea and a good book, after all that work!

P.S.:
I see no trace of green on the dog's paw. I imagine someone gingerly stepping around that freshly cut grass. ;-)

I am continually surprised to notice that, although we are a continent and thousand of miles away from you, our seasons and our weather seem to march along in unison.

I am amazed at the green this year ... guess that has to do with all the rain we've been having?

Looks to me like some one has been weed eating?

While I'd rather it didn't rain on the moving van tomorrow, this is the magical time of living in the Emerald City.

Desiree -- the slide show is on my monthly Goodweather Report blog

Yes, I spent some quality time with a weed-eater (string trimmer)yesterday; the dog did not help. And I relaxed with a gin and tonic just before supper.

Your turkeys are handsome fellas.

The lush greens of spring... beautiful.

A happy post! But here in Western NY, it's not easy being green: The clouds and wet just won't let that glitter shine!

I was out walking today and noticing all the wonderful different shades of green. Didn't bring so much of it home though!

I've been doing that too, taking pictures of new green leaves. They lift the spirit and make me feel all shivery hopeful.
