A Time to Re-examine . . .

2009 WILL be better for all of us! We won't be richer, but maybe we won't be poorer, either. Our wealth will be measured in the love and caring of family and friends. I wish you and yours health in mind and body........and more Vicki Lane Productions!

I believe my business will do pretty well this year.

I believe my husband will finish his BS and feel so much better for it.

I believe my cats will always amuse and confound me.

I believe your books will continue to get better and better.

Happy New Year, one and all!

Carol, Ethan is doing well and a hematologist has told him a repeat occurrence is unlikely. This makes us all breathe a little easier, though we remain mindful of the fragility of our little lives . . .

St. Louis Susan, (Sounds like the beginning of a blues ballad 'St. Louis Susan, she like to shimmy and shake . . .' ;-) I like your positive attitude!

Jean, Yes, Malaprop's is an Asheville treasure. And they've been wonderful friends to Elizabeth Goodweather, keeping the books by the cash register as well in other prominent locations.

Susan, Thanks for the positive vibes re my books! And I believe your business will flourish.

Vicki, thank you for this blog that I have come to enjoy so much. And thank you for visiting Sisters in Crime in Greenville, SC. I truly enjoy the depth of your knowledge and the beauty of the details you show us in your photos. May you and your family find much joy, health, and happiness in the new year.

I believe that we can always learn something from philosophical chickens. All best for a warm and healthy 2009.

Thanks you, Helen and Marta!

I hope to share many more tidbits of chicken wisdom in the coming year.
