Rain, Rain, Rain
Yesterday it rained like one thing, as they say in these parts.
Which means it rained really, really hard
I'm hoping it's not going to happen . . .
All the water going into the ground is welcome . . . but oh, how ready we are for Spring!
Everything is poised on the edge -- a haze of green on the pastures and some of the trees are showing signs of budding. . .
And that outdoor wedding is less than a month away.

You Tell Me
Early morning and late afternoon have the best light for photography -- those lovely slanting shadows.
The writing class I'm teaching in Burnsville gets out at 5:30 -- and I walk outside into the rays of a sinking sun. It glistened on the white boards of the farther building and then I noticed all the wonderful geometry of light and dark on these two buildings.

Who's That Out There?
Bang! Bang! Bang!

Only a possum, investigating the interior of the smoker. He was singularly untroubled by the light and the flash of the camera.
