Playing with Glass

There were two different classes that involved playing with class. The first pictured here is Karen Reed's stained glass  --

When I stopped in, only a few projects were ready for their closeups -- but I have some photos of the finished products for a later post.

Echinacea under way. I love the yellow tip of one of the leaves -- a nice use of that piece of glass.

Over in another studio, Susanne Vernon was showing her group how to make mosaics with glass.
There were a number of colorful pieces under construction.

More cone flowers . . .

and a bright gecko writhing his way across the board . . .

A cheery sunflower . . .

Swirling colors . . .

Great concentration . . .

The beginning of a peacock feather . . .

                                So many different ideas . . .

There was more than just glass to choose from. . .

Almost done -- the grout will come next.

And I'll show you the finished pieces in a later post.
