It Rained Like One Thing

. . . as Miss Birdie might say.
Hard rain for about a half an hour. 1.7 inches

We were thrilled, even though our power and internet were knocked out for a while.

This towhee is dealing with wet feathers.

Hard to get things just right.

And more rain later in the day--with a bonus rainbow!

A summer downpour, especially in the country, can be very satisfying.

Particularly when it's been dry too long.

It's wonderful to get rain after it's been too dry. We need more here. The odd day of light showers isn't helping much and we now have a hosepipe ban due to water shortages.

Wonderful pictures Vicki, it looks like the bird is hanging out her wash to dry (feathers) I loved it! The rainbow and I bet there was that special smell after a summer rain fall. xx
