At the grocery, I was delighted to find beautiful local heirloom tomatoes. Also potato chips. But when I got home, the chips had gone missing. Thus the little cheese crackers on the side. Not the same but not bad.
But the really weird (even weirder than the missing chips) thing is--and it's happened many, many times before--is that something about my making shrimp salad for a hot-day meal almost always brings on the rain. And we enjoy our hot-day meal in blessed cool.
With a bonus rainbow!

Hmm. Chip bags are not exactly tiny.
Indeed! And I checked my receipt and they weren't on it. I know they made it into the shopping cart--Josie handed them to me. I can only surmise that they got to the little shelf before the belt and never made it onto the belt.
You need to have Josie act as your spotter and make sure everything gets from your cart to the conveyer belt. 😀
Wonderful shrimp salad...drooling over it! If it also brings rain, I should be going out to get the ingredients right now. (Sadly very dry here, but I did move to a drier climate on purpose!)
Making shrimp salad on scorching days brings pure weather magic, trading missing potato chips for cheese crackers still hits the spot. Local heirloom tomatoes elevate every summer plate, seeing cooling rain pour down alongside a bonus rainbow feels like winning the lottery.
