I have only recently seen the dark purplish-green variety in our supermarkets, but the heirloom seeds have been available to home gardeners from specialist suppliers for a few years. I feel tempted to try my hand at growing them too, this summer. So far, I've only planted a couple of cherry tomato seedlings, but I'm not so sure they'll grow since Noodle dug them all up and I had to rescue the poor limp things and try again.Desireehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01069419364783245762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-764237570467034909.post-11890028314185284442011-09-18T17:52:31.236-04:002011-09-18T17:52:31.236-04:00How serendipitious! But seriously, since I saw your first mention of the tomatoes, which are my very, very, very favorite food, I've been intending to write and ask for your Gazpacho recipe. So,what a treat to find it on the Mystery Lovers Kitchen blog. Which I didn't know about and now have bookmarked, too. And I've been eating mayo and tomato sammiches since I was able to walk. Very common fare in Texas. Along with Fried Green Tomatoes. Oh, here I go...better go grab some grape tomatoes and have a snack. Have a good week, everyone!Sue Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18111543196106199471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-764237570467034909.post-86767407028543233492011-09-18T08:41:33.200-04:002011-09-18T08:41:33.200-04:00You guys are the best! As I've said before, doing a guest post gives me that high school anxiety of being a wallflower at a dance.
