But we are still trying once in a while to have a couple of addresses where and bring visitors when they come for more than a couple of days.Thérèsehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14354559064351144704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-764237570467034909.post-23280929429451452042015-07-11T10:50:15.135-04:002015-07-11T10:50:15.135-04:00The Obama's would jump at the chance to dine a...The Obama's would jump at the chance to dine at your home Vicki. I'm sure no restaurant in Asheville could match the ambiance and savory goodies in an your casual, comfortable home. I am sure Michelle would want to stay over and help you weed and pick some purple beans. But we often go there for lunch. Unfortunately we have some favorites and tend to go there rather than trying some of the newer places. Yep, I would definitely go there with the Obamas. Try to wrangle an invitation for us if you get one.NCmountainwomanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00615765649828716560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-764237570467034909.post-193258272470354672015-07-11T09:34:27.932-04:002015-07-11T09:34:27.932-04:00Vicki, I enjoyed this dinner table conversation. ...Vicki, I enjoyed this dinner table conversation. Once upon a time, I used to visit New York restaurants much, much more frequently than is now the case. Sometimes either lunch or dinner came along with entertaining business clients long ago. As far as dining out with friends, once upon a time NYC was no where near as expensive a place as it has now become.

Nowadays, I do meet friends for lunch, but definitely find that I don't mind my own cooking one little bit.

(I note that the conversation about having the President and First Lady over for supper did not mention the presence of ... the kittehs. Must have been an oversight. Surely, they would provide the cabaret.)

xoFranceshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08352407314710067616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-764237570467034909.post-3957617898825024612015-07-11T08:25:49.881-04:002015-07-11T08:25:49.881-04:00I hit India Garden for lunch or the rare occasion ...I hit India Garden for lunch or the rare occasion that I have to be in Asheville for a doctor's appointment.
