Oh, Vicki! These are all gorgeous! Each one a worthy gem to inspire great creativity (or, in my case, simply dreaming!) Thank you for this delightful visual symphony!
Dear Vicki: The pictures are pure light and magic! The variety of the moths, the butterflies; the splendour of the place is phenomenal! What a glorious place to live! Interesting mountain in the background; is their an oral history in regards to this regal mountain?
Thanks Vicki, you are a shutterbug who captures bugs, plants, mountains, trees, flowers etc so well. A lovely quiet walk with nature. Barb Rogers (the comments are getting dumped here from my site this morning, so I'm anonymous)
Dear Vicki, such a great experience you had at wildacres retreat, I think moving to tears with someone else´s reading or having a poem at your plate is something really worth to live, and I´m so happy you made new friends. Great surroundings too!!! hugs dear
The bugs, in order of appearance, are: Polyphemus moth, Great Spangled Fritillary (I think,) grasshopper, and Imperial moth. I don't know what sort of tree it is, Martin -- a very tall one but I wasn't paying good attention. Perhaps a hickory, my husband says.
And I wondered about that odd stubby looking mountain but never got around to asking, Too busy working on my costume for Hollywood Night.
Vicki -- what a gorgeous parade of photographs. Especially like the shade lines on the decking and the grasshopper. Really just liked them all.-- barbara

Absolutely beautiful Vicki, no words needed! The moths were stunning.
Lovely photographs : I am almost tempted to join the dots up and write the story.
holy moly....those are gorgeous
what kind of moth is that?
So beautiful. Even the bugs (which creep me out) are beautiful. I don't count butterflies as bugs.

Oh, Alan, I'd like to see that story!
Gorgeous photographs! Is it just me, or is that the face of Jesus in that lichen?
